If you have never visited a place or experienced something firsthand—even something as simple as dining in San Francisco versus China’s Greater Bay Area—you should approach information presented on social media with a healthy degree of skepticism.
Yesterday, we had lunch for 10 people in San Francisco, costing US$500. A comparable lunch in China’s Greater Bay Area would cost approximately RMB 500—roughly six times less expensive! Therefore you make 6x more money in US than your China’s counterparts has no meaning because everything in US cost 6x more!
Unless you have experienced both China and the United States firsthand, you may never fully appreciate the remarkable difference in prices.
