因為地方上的富戶豪強們，離皇帝遠一點，雖然人生可能沒有那麼多建功立業的機會，家族也沒法更上一層樓，但是他們在地方過得安逸啊，在地方上他們就是真正的土皇帝，有錢有人脈，誰來了都得給他們面子，所謂寧罪兩千石，勿負豪大家就是這個道理。

而一旦遷入關中，且不說他們沒辦法搞太多小動作了，就是他們帶過去的財富，也會被關中本地的坐地虎給慢慢分掉，這是皇帝和關中百姓之間一種默契的潛規則。

現在的某些所謂富豪，認知水平甚至連兩千年前的西漢土豪都不如，畢竟西漢土豪那是無法對抗皇帝意志，而現代土豪是主動過去給人家收割。你移民去一個新地方，你以為你能保住你的財富嗎？

你在這邊沒有人脈，沒有產業，那你的財富不過是浮財，人家自然是想怎麼拿捏就怎麼拿捏，慢慢的把你的財產變成他的財產，這其實也是一種心照不宣的潛規則。

換句話說，現在的富豪們其實很焦慮，留在國內，財產大概率無法保全，於是他們抱有僥倖心理，想着去國外，有錢可以過得舒服，至少在自己後半生，他們還是能過得舒服的。

但這也是一種妄想。中國的鬥爭雖然激烈，但好歹還是有底線，經濟犯罪方面，除非是那種犯了人命的黑老大，純粹的經濟問題，某種意義上已經免除了死刑，許家印捅了那麼大的簍子，也沒有領到一顆子彈，就是明證。

但是對於國外來說，法律什麼的那就是說著好聽罷了，真鬥起來是完全沒有底線的，如果你也是有勢力的土豪也還罷了，大家可以有妥協的餘地，但你一個異族，在種族歧視嚴重的地方，人家就是搞死你都不會受到譴責，人家為什麼不幹？

Locally, they were the true local emperors, with money and connections, and anyone who came had to give them face. The saying “Rather offend a two-thousand-dan official than a powerful family” is exactly this principle.

But once they moved into Guanzhong, not to mention that they could not make too many small moves, even the wealth they brought over would slowly be divided up by the local entrenched powers of Guanzhong. This was a tacit hidden rule between the emperor and the people of Guanzhong.

Some so-called rich people today have a level of understanding even lower than that of the local tyrants of the Western Han two thousand years ago. After all, the Western Han local tyrants could not resist the emperor’s will, while modern local tyrants actively go over to be harvested by others. You emigrate to a new place—do you think you can preserve your wealth?

You have no connections here, no industry, so your wealth is merely floating wealth. Others will naturally squeeze you however they want, slowly turning your property into their property. This is actually also a kind of tacit hidden rule.

Several major immigrant countries in the world welcome rich immigrants. Are they all living Lei Fengs? Of course they have taken a fancy to your money. As long as you bring your money over, they will naturally, under the name of integrating into the local area, eat away your wealth bit by bit.

The reason China can produce so many foolish rich people whose understanding cannot keep up is, on the one hand, indeed because the poor suddenly became rich and their level of understanding is low, while the West is also too good at fooling people. The so-called spirit of contract is deeply rooted in people’s hearts, and slogans like “The wind can enter, the rain can enter, but the king cannot enter” have fooled these people into losing their minds. On the other hand, it is also related to China’s too-fast development. In the forty years of reform and opening up, much of the risen capital is bloody, and now it faces being settled.

In other words, today’s rich people are actually very anxious. If they stay in China, their property will most likely not be preserved, so they hold onto a fluke mentality and think of going abroad. With money they can live comfortably, at least for the rest of their lives, they can still live comfortably.

But this is also a delusion. Although the struggle in China is intense, at least there is still a bottom line. In terms of economic crimes, unless it is a kind of gang boss who has taken human lives, purely economic problems have in a certain sense already been exempted from the death penalty. Xu Jiayin made such a huge mess and still did not receive a bullet, which is clear proof.

But for foreign countries, laws and such are just pleasant-sounding talk. When it really comes to a fight, there is completely no bottom line. If you are also a local tyrant with influence, that is still one thing—everyone can have room for compromise. But if you are a foreign race, in a place where racial discrimination is severe, others can kill you and not even be condemned. Why wouldn’t they do it?
