三週前我們為岳父預約了眼科門診，第一個可預約的時間是上週一，結果前一天卻收到簡訊通知取消。今天我帶他去凱薩（Kaiser）報到時，櫃檯人員才說醫生生病了，必須改到11天後的7月24日。這種事在中國絕對不會發生！

3 weeks ago we scheduled an eye doctor appointment for my father in law, 1st available was last week Monday, got cancelled 1 day prior via text message. Today I took him to Kaiser, at the check-in counter we were told doctor sick need to reschedule for 11 days later on July 24th. This will never happened in China!

My wife is CFO with various companies in Hawaii and SF last 20 years! She is very good with numbers! Her conclusion is unless you have 5-10 millions cash in the bank probably ok to retire in USA! What if you have only 1-2 millions? If that is the case your 1-2 millions plus your retirement money from social security and pension like many of my friends and classmates from US and Canada are living in style in China Greater Bay Areas equal to those have 5-10 millions in the USA! Does anyone has 5-10 millions cash in the bank? Honestly speaking, I don’t! Therefore the choice is simple! If you talk to the 1000s of parents and grandparents who used to say I cannot retire in China because of their kids and grandchildren now quietly pull me to the side those were bullshit excuses when they saw their friends kids and grandchildren abandoned their parents and grandparents when they are old and sick! At the old age, their Canadian or US citizenship have no meaning to them! Unless you are on US government handouts programs, you are stuck.
