Yesterday, before these two men arrived in Kyiv, Zelensky told the world that if they were planning on arriving in Ukraine empty-hand, they should not bother. Today, the press widely reported that Zelensky asked the U.S. to provide US $2 billion dollars a month in economic aid. I don’t know what the outcome of their meeting was. He has been pleading and begging virtually on a daily basis since the beginning of the war. He obviously is not getting what he needs and worse, he is not getting the loud and clear message coming the U.S. and NATO and EU not to count of them by their inaction.
Blinken and Austin are obviously deaf and blind. All Zelensky gets daily are accolades, false promises and crumbs from the U.S. and Europeans.
The needless daily killings and destruction in Ukraine can be stopped immediately if only he and Putin can get together and work out what was already agreed upon in the Minsk Agreements of 2014 and 2015 between the two countries, brokered by Germany and France.
