South China Morning Post: Pretty soon any Western leaders have constipation will blame China too. With absolutely no proof and lying through their teeth, The US, Britain, the EU and Nato on Monday accused Beijing of sponsoring a massive hack of the Microsoft Exchange email server discovered earlier this year, which compromised accounts worldwide, and vowed to work with other countries to halt what the US State Department called China’s “destabilising behaviour in cyberspace”. What a bunch of pathetic liars.
Why US Servers, emails, Network Gears so easily get hacked? ALL US built hardwares and softwares are required by NSA to have backdoors so US government could hacked into friends and foes systems at will around the world. When you intentionally created a backdoors, you are inviting others to comes in too. That is the reason why US Government wanted to ban Huawei from China because Huawei softwares and hardwares do NOT have backdoors. If anyone installed Huawei equipments, the peeping Tom, the US will be blinded. Therefore US kept saying Huawei not safe but unable to show it to the world why not safe because US could not.
Professor Kiji Noh in San Francisco: The vulnerabilities of MS Exchange may be related to the backdoors they built into it for the NSA. Certainly their backdoors allowed spying on Chinese servers.

But before we get too deep into this, remember that Microsoft built a freakin’ backdoor into Outlook.com for the NSA, with Microsoft working for months to provide the NSA with full access to encrypted chats on Outlook.com, something we reported about in July 2013. Microsoft also worked with the NSA on giving them a backdoor into SkyDrive, their cloud-based storage service. At the time, I reported: “Microsoft worked tightly with the NSA in order to give them access, with the NSA reporting on April 8 of this year that the Redmond-based slave of the NSA built PRISM access into SkyDrive that removes the need for the NSA analysts to request permission to search SkyDrive”.
More specifically, the NSA promoted a flawed encryption protocol (Dual EC) because this gave it access. Of course, this access was exploited by others as well. https://www.theregister.com/2020/10/28/nsa_backdoor_wyden/

In other words, the hacking that the US attributed to other actors may have been facilitated by itself.
When former NSA contractor Edward Snowden leaked agency secrets in 2013, Reuters reported that years earlier security firm RSA, now part of storage biz EMC, had accepted a $10m contract with the NSA to use Dual Elliptic Curve, or Dual EC, encryption. RSA at the time denied some of the claims without disputing the existence of the contract.
The NSA had been keen to see Dual EC adopted and worked with the US Commerce Department to promote it. But in 2007, two Microsoft researchers reported there were serious flaws with the Dual Elliptic Curve Deterministic Random Bit Generator that led it to produce weak cryptography. By 2014, US standards agency NIST withdrew support for Dual EC.
Juniper at some point between 2008 and 2009 appears to have added Dual EC support to its products at the request of “a single customer,” widely believed to be the NSA.
